This contract role serves as a School Social Worker within a K-12 educational environment located in South Lyon, MI. The position covers a medical leave from January 5, 2026, to April 3, 2026, providing essential support to a self-contained classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 32 students, primarily in Level III self-contained classrooms
- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Cognitive Impairments (CI), addressing their social and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and facilitate interventions to promote student well-being and academic success
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to maximize positive outcomes

- Experience working as a Social Worker in K-12 school settings
